The Institute Of Chartered Accountant(ICAI) issued a notification regarding the “opt-out” scheme on 15th June. Candidates/Students who chose “opt-out” can not sit for the May 2020 examination irrespective of the situation regarding the Pandemic by COVID-19.

However, a PIL filed against ICAI in Supreme Court, yeah you read it right, a PIL has been filed before the Apex Court of India by Alakh Alok Srivastava against ICAI. He believes that “opt-out” is discriminatory, arbitrary, and violates the Fundamental Rights.

He files a complaint on behalf of the ‘India Wide Parents Association’, claiming, there should be at least one center in every district of India to take the exam. There are a total of 259 examination centers all over India and 5 overseas centers.
